Exciting times, we finally moved into our gorgeous new house. Well, it will be gorgeous. Someday. Just not any time soon. It’s a beautiful building, 100 years old. But it’s been unloved and neglected and it’s in desperate need of some serious TLC.

But where to start. Everything needs cleaned, painted, removed, replaced… We made a trip to IKEA then left completely empty handed, overwhelmed by the to-do list. So we sat down and wrote a to-do list and prioritised, in our own special way. Priorities being somewhere to sleep (new bed sorted), somewhere to eat (the search for the dining table continues) and somewhere to sit (the sofa arrives next week bringing with it a whole new list of to-dos, more on that later).

The Alpha Male decided that kerb-appeal was of key importance and got down to some serious work. Weeding, cleaning, bleaching and sanding. Before giving the door and steps a much needed lick of paint. And doesn’t it look good? Now where’s that list?
